About the Captains
Carrie Gill co-founded HOPE in 2014, returning this year to captain. Carrie learned to play at Loyola College in Maryland. Outside of HOPE, Carrie is the head coach of women's ultimate at the University of Rhode Island and is working on a PhD in environmental economics.
Dorothy Kimel-Scott is joining HOPE for a third season, her second as a fearless leader. Dorothy got her start playing ultimate at the University of North Carolina, including two trips to Nationals in 2008/9. Outside of HOPE, Dorothy is a physical therapist.
Karen Babbitt is a third-year HOPE vet, joining this year as a captain. She comes from a family of ultimate players, getting her start at Providence College. Outside of HOPE, Karen wears a lab coat and does science.
